PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, EVANGELIST, THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: THANKSGIVING

From John Collins Ministries: “For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, ‘Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.’ In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.’ For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.” 1 Corinthians 11:23-26 (NKJV). People think of these words and think of communion to be taken in church. Before there were Christian churches the apostles gathered in the homes of their fellow believers or those they hoped to bring salvation to and they would share a meal and share the truth of the Lord Jesus Christ with thanksgiving in their hearts. They would break bread and drink wine and think of Jesus’ bro...

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: DITCHING JESUS

Evangelist John Collins:  Don't lose your salvation. Jesus answered them and said, ‘My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me. If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority.” John 7:16-17 (NKJV). Christianity is going through a crisis of immense proportions. People have been waking up to the truth of the history of the church, to the paganism within the church and to the abuse of grace that has produced so much disobedience to God. Jesus was very clear in stating that you must obey the Father and not just believe, for it is those who love Him that are obedient. That being said, there are Christians everywhere who are taking their wake up call that was from God and jumping ship all together. There are Christians who have desired to start at the beginning, get to know the Torah and study the word of God to know what sin is, what obedience consists of, and what is promised in the prophecies. ...

Pastor John Collins, Thought of the Day: Power of Prayer

Pastor John Collins: Prayer Prayer isn’t about asking for yourself, it is part of what Jesus taught to care about others….prayer for others is what we should be doing because we should do for others what we want done for us.   There simply isn’t enough prayer, and God does want to hear from us, from our heart.   It is a relationship that those who were found to be righteous in the eyes of God had:     Abraham, Job, Enoch, Elijah, Mary, Esther, Daniel, Moses and others….all of these individuals are recorded as having a full relationship with God through prayer that pleased God .   Evil in this world is because of our free will, Pastor John Collins reminds us, just as Jesus taught during His ministry.   God gave us free will, as a good Father , He allows us to make our own choices in our lives.   He cares that much about us to allow us to choose instead of being robot-like creatures.   Evil is a product of individuals being selfi...

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS THOUGHT OF THE DAY: YOU ARE CAPABLE

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, EVANGELIST:  Healing We all have pain and scars that need to heal .   Because so many have never known the love of God or His Son, that hurt never seems to heal .   That hurt leads to alcoholism, drug abuse, addictions of all kinds, low self-esteem, cutting: there are so many things that we do to ourselves out of pain of living.   Pastor John Collins , evangelist and head pastor of Love That Cross Ministries and Pastor John Collins Ministries , tells us that it is faith in God and Jesus that will heal us.   All we have to do is realize that God and Jesus are there and want us to come to Them, warts and all, and the healing will begin. Tears and pain keep us from enjoying what God does put into our lives even when we have a little faith.   It is how the enemy, who is Satan, keeps us from that perfect relationship with God.   The child who once trusted Jesus becomes the surly adolescent who is rebellious of parent...
