PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, THOUGHT OF THE DAY: COVID19- AND THOUGHTS

Image
From Pastor John Collins: Content from radio broadcast May 24, 2020, posted with permission: Pastor John Collins ~ “I think we’ve been saying over the past eight years that one day, God is going to get tired of getting slapped across the face by people.  We are going to have a wake-up call for something to happen, because He wants us to turn back to God.  We need to get rid of politics and get back to the Cross, first and foremost, but that is the problem. “God didn’t do this.  People going out into the public when they weren’t supposed to, not wearing masks when they were supposed to, not social distancing when they were supposed to, that was the problem.  This could have been not as deadly as it was, in my opinion, if we would have done these things.”  “You shall not tempt the LORD your God as you tempted Him in Massah” (Deuteronomy 6:16, NKJV). “Jesus said to him, “ it is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the LORD your God ’” (Matthew 4:7, NKJV). “An...

Pastor John Collins, thought of the day: Face of Christianity ~ Church Hurt

From John Collins Ministries: Pastor John feels it is time to show the world how far from Christianity we have gotten.  He wants to Change the Face of Christianity and make it mean something!  If you do not understand what this means, let me explain it to you. Today we have people who do not want to go to church for very good reasons!  There are the "church hurt" people.  Church hurt means someone who was hurt by their church.  This could be someone who turned to their church for help and was turned away.  It could mean someone who was judged in church, felt pushed away or uncomfortable within their church or disagrees with everything going on inside of their church.  How do you take a church hurt person and get them to trust in a church again? At one time, it was very respectful to be a Christian.  Today, it is not cool to be a Christian because look how bible thumping Christians behave!  They think they are holier than thou, b...

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS THOUGHT OF THE DAY: CONNECT

Image
PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, REDEEMING THE GOSPEL CONNECT "Slow down and look up... one thing that you can do for yourself in your daily lives, it is to take the time to connect with the Lord ~  Pastor John Collins, John Collins Ministries Redeeming the Gospel Revival “Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour. ‘Father, glorify Your name.’ Then a voice came from heaven, saying, ‘I have both glorified it and will glorify it again.’ Therefore the people who stood by and heard it said that it had thundered. Others said, ‘An angel has spoken to Him.’ Jesus answered and said, ‘This voice did not come because of Me, but for your sake.’” John 12:27-30 (NKJV). Jesus grew up knowing the duty and responsibilities that He had been given. He knew what would come and He lived with an awareness of what was to be gained. He did not live with His own needs and wants but with those of His Father’s. J...

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, THOUGHT OF THE DAY: EASTER MYTH?

Image
▩ From Pastor John Collins: ✞At least 58% of 10,000 people surveyed believe that Jesus Christ was a myth✞ This past week is traditionally recognized as Holy Week, Christians around the world reflect upon the events leading up to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.  Jews will begin the celebration of Passover at sundown on Friday.  Easter for most Christians is recognized as the first Sunday after the first full moon following the spring equinox.  Without Easter, or Resurrection Day, Christmas is pointless.  In a broadcast, Pastor John Collins, evangelist and head pastor of Love That Cross Ministries, reflected that a survey of 10,000 people revealed that at least 58% of those surveyed believe that Jesus Christ and His story is a myth. The “myth” of Jesus Christ living and dying is written in the Holy Bible, for Christians, that is enough.  However, for those who question the validity of Jesus, there are other separate and distinct documentations of Jes...

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, EVANGELIST, THOUGHT OF THE DAY: BLIND CHRISTIANS

From John Collins Ministries:  “Make the heart of this people dull, And their ears heavy, And shut their eyes; Lest they see with their eyes, And hear with their heart, And return and be healed.” Isaiah 6:10 (NKJV). “There is none righteous, no, not one; There is none who understands; There is none who seek after God. They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one.” Romans 3:10-12 (NKJV). When we think of those who have been blinded and made deaf, those who have been given over to their lusts, we think of the obvious sinners, the ones living life in defiance to the commandments of God and Jesus Christ. Yet, the most pitiful and dreadful blinding that exists is the blind Christian. Blind Christians believe they have it right. These believers gossip, hate, are self-righteous, are greedy, selfish, proud and just don’t even realize it. They believe because they know scripture, may even be able to quote it, they ...

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS THOUGHT OF THE DAY: O.M.G.?!!

From John Collins Ministries: “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.” Exodus 20:7 (NKJV). “This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’  Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:11-12 (NKJV). We are told to revere God, fear God and hold Him in awe. We are not to take His name in vain and we are n ot to take the name of the Lord Jesus Christ in vain.   Someone gets hurt and yells out Jesus Christ in a tone and manner that is equal to curse words. The term OMG has become second nature and of no consequence in the casual speech of people today.  Vain use of the name of God and Jesus is to make them useless, of no effect, idle and worthless. To speak with such casual disregard for the name of God is show them contempt.   The Lor...

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, EVANGELIST, THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: LAZY FAITH

Image
From John Collins Ministries: “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” 2 Corinthians 5:10 (NKJV). It is time for a serious reality check for every single person living on earth at this time: You are going to die an earthly death and will have to face the righteous judgment of God. You may think you know what that means, you may not care but let me fill in the blanks for so many….whether you choose to believe in God or not, whether you find God fair or not, whether you agree with God or not, whether you end up dismissing God or not, whether you reject God or not and whether you end up getting as angry at God as you want and as defiant toward God as you want and you can ignore Him, disobey Him and reject His Son but in the end, ALL will come before the judgment seat of C...

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, EVANGELIST, THOUGHT OF THE DAY: ABOUT RAPTURE AND END TIMES PREDICTIONS

From John Collins Ministries: "And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.  Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.  And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.  But he who endures to the end shall be saved.  And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come."  Matthew 24:10-14 (NKJV). "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."  Mark 13:32 (NKJV). Many are saying that we are nearing the end of times, that Jesus will return soon, that the rapture is near and tribulation is upon us.  Jesus said that only the Father knows the time so it is impossible for anyone to know when the end will come.  Yet with so many preachers teaching this and so many eyes open to the happenings in the Middle East and so much attention being dr...

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, EVANGELIST, THOUGHT OF THE DAY: CO-DEPENDENCY

From John Collins Ministries: "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV). Have you ever been co-dependent? Have you ever been depressed, miserable and feeling so lonely that you allow negative relationships to build with negative people in your life?  Have you ever been afraid to be alone?  Are you keeping unhealthy relationships alive in order to avoid emptiness? In order to be healthy in our live in our souls and not only our bodies, we must be honest with ourselves. If you truly want spiritual health, heart health and mental health then get to know Jesus Christ.  When you give your all to coming to the Cross and submitting to God's will for your life, you will find yourself supported, whole, happy and fulfilled.  There is functio...

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, EVANGELIST, THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: CHRISTMAS THOUGHTS

From John Collins Ministries: "For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:11 (NKJV). “And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him.” Luke 2:40 (NKJV). Jesus came to be our Savior, to teach us and to die for us. As you go through life, you are to look to Jesus to care for you, to guide you and to strengthen you. The human spirit is strong and can withstand more than you could ever imagine. Jesus is strong in spirit and knows your weaknesses. He knows what scares you, what intimidates you and what you avoid. Jesus is there to help you face your fears and conquer what you thought you couldn’t. Jesus will listen to you and will help you. Faith in the Lord allows your spirit to have courage. Hope in the Lord allows your spirit the freedom from worry and that confidence allows you to serve the Lord honestly. The human spirit is capable of being beat up...

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, EVANGELIST, THOUGHT OF THE DAY: WHAT REALLY MATTERS?

From John Collins Ministries: “Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all.” 1 Thessalonians 5:14 (NKJV). We have fallen down on the job people! When did we get lazy in raising our children, apathetic in watching the downfall of our society, encouraging in sinful behavior and unwilling to be part of the solution while loving complaining about it all. When did the blame fall on everyone else’s shoulders while we stand and watch our country burn? We are systematically ruining our existence and doing nothing worthwhile about it. Why? Because not enough people want to stop their own nonsense long enough to make a change first. Everyone wants the other person, party, gang, opposition etc. to give in first because they all want to win.  Stubborn, selfish, foolish pride and egos will tear families apart, tear cities apart and tear this country apart. We have got to get to a place where the ch...

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, EVANGELIST, THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: OFFENDING JESUS

From John Collins Ministries: “The Lord said to my Lord, ‘Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.’” Psalm 110:1 (NKJV). “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.” Matthew 7:21 (NKJV). Most people like to think of the truly evil as the enemies of Jesus. Most people would see themselves and their loved ones as loved by Jesus and part of the kingdom of God. Most people see themselves as good people and deserving of going to heaven. Most people are in denial about the perfect and righteous judgement of God. What would you do if Jesus told you personally that you are His enemy? How would you feel if Jesus let you know that you had offended Him and you were not in His good graces? Can you imagine such a thing? What would you do to change that if it were true? What would be the circumstances that would make that true? Would it be true if you were a liar, a whore, a ...

JOHN COLLINS, EVANGELIST, THOUGHT OF THE DAY: HALLOWEEN

From John Collins Ministries: “You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord’s table and of the table of demons.” 1 Corinthians 10:21 (NKJV). “Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said, ‘I will dwell in them and walk among them, I will be their God, and they shall be My people.’ Therefore ‘Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you. I will be a Father to you and you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the Lord Almighty.’” 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 (NKJV). Halloween is paganism. God has spent a lot of time and effort and has sent many a prophet, messenger a...

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, EVANGELIST, THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: I'M FINE....AVOIDANCE

We tend to brush off people who truly are concerned with how we "are".  We don't talk as family, preferring to stare at screens in front of our faces.  Too many times avoiding issues leads to hurt and anger.  It's time to learn honesty and transparency, beginning with the ones we love most~ Pastor John Collins, John Collins Ministries. From John Collins Ministries: “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” Galatians 2:20 (NKJV). ‘What’s wrong?’, ‘Nothing.’, ‘How are you?’, ‘I’m fine.’  How many times have these questions and answers been given in your life? How many  unsaid issues  get  brushed aside , pushed down and built up? How many  avoidances  have you given or received? Why is it so  hard to express  what is going on inside? Our children  ...

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, EVANGELIST, THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: IF GOD CAME KNOCKING?

Image
TAKE A WALK WITH GOD? God does not leave us alone~Pastor John Collins, Evangelist Can you imagine what it would be like if our Father, God Almighty, came down and walked among us?  It's spoken of Jesus walking among us, God could too.  God hasn't given up on us, but would you be able to talk to Him as He spoke to so many before?  Would you want to? From John Collins Ministries: “Oh, that You would rend the heavens! That You would come down! That the mountains might shake at Your presence-As fire burns brushwood, As fire causes water to boil-to make Your name know to Your adversaries, that the nations may tremble at Your presence! When You did awesome things for which we did not look, you came down, the mountains shook at Your presence.” Isaiah 64:1-3 (NKJV). God created mankind and has not left him alone. God has come down, given His word, directed and fought for His people and has given His Son for us. God has come down and instructed ...

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, EVANGELIST, THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: TRUTH

Pastor John Collins, What is truth? “For I proclaim the name of the Lord: ascribe greatness to our God.   He is the Rock, His work is perfect; for all His ways are justice, a God of truth and without injustice; righteous and upright is He.” Deut. 32:3-4 (NKJV). What is truth?  Where does the truth of your soul lie? What do you claim as your truth and where does that perception stem from? Does it come from deep within you in the small still of the night when your breathing is slow and you allow the truth of your smallness to penetrate your bones? Do you consider how precious you are to the One who created you? Do you allow your perceptions of truth to be guided by the current social standards, by the way in which you are perceived by those you encounter, or by the beliefs of others? Do you consider your eternity and just what time without end means to your soul? There is an overwhelming push in our world to undo what was done by the God of us all.  Th...

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, JOHN COLLINS MINISTRIES, THOUGHT OF THE DAY: DESPAIR

Image
PASTOR JOHN COLLINS:  SOUL PAIN THAT SUCKS THE BREATH RIGHT OUT OF YOU when there is hurt in this world, we need to make an even greater effort to love more~Pastor John Collins How many of us have not felt despair asks Pastor John Collins , Evangelist of John Collins Ministries ?   Things happen in this life we live here that are sad, dark, scary, ugly and leave us feeling like we want to curl into a fetal position and just stay there.   That darkness is of Satan and it is meant for us to become separated from God who loves us.   It gives that evil being pleasure to know he can torture God’s creations.   We know pain because it’s part of this world, says Pastor John Collins in this daily devotional.   So many of us do not know how to handle the pain because society has driven God from church, family, and home.   There is an epidemic of narcotic and opioid use that is out of control.   Alcoholism destroys families and individuals. ...

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, JOHN COLLINS MINISTRIES, THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: DESIRING JESUS

Image
Opening your heart. “Open the eyes of my heart” is a popular Christian song and it holds a lesson that Pastor John Collins of John Collins Ministries teaches in a recent message.   Consider closely what it is that you ask for when you consider your faith, your heart, your sin, and your path to heaven.   It’s how we get to our real final destination that we work on here in this life, says Pastor John Collins .   Pastor John Collins writes: “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” John 14:21 (NKJV). We know the story; that Jesus suffered for us, that He died for us, that He was separated from God for us, that He was buried and that He rose again. We know that Jesus is our Savior and that the work was completed by Him as our propitiation. What can Jesus do for you now? There are many who pray for healing, for financial liberatio...
