PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, EVANGELIST, THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: I'M FINE....AVOIDANCE

We tend to brush off people who truly are concerned with how we "are".  We don't talk as family, preferring to stare at screens in front of our faces.  Too many times avoiding issues leads to hurt and anger.  It's time to learn honesty and transparency, beginning with the ones we love most~ Pastor John Collins, John Collins Ministries. From John Collins Ministries: “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” Galatians 2:20 (NKJV). ‘What’s wrong?’, ‘Nothing.’, ‘How are you?’, ‘I’m fine.’  How many times have these questions and answers been given in your life? How many  unsaid issues  get  brushed aside , pushed down and built up? How many  avoidances  have you given or received? Why is it so  hard to express  what is going on inside? Our children  don’t talk , we  don’t talk , everyone av

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, EVANGELIST, THOUGHT OF THE DAY: BATTLE WITHIN

Image
From John Collins Ministries: The Inner Battle Pastor John Collins writes:   “The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lords’; But the earth He has given to the children of men.” Psalm 115:16 (NKJV). God  has given you life and you need to enjoy it. As you walk the path that leads to righteousness, you will face many situations that make you realize that it is a battle not just outside in the world and with those you encounter but also within yourself.  God  wants you to fight the good fight. God wants you to seek to please Him and to do the right thing in life. Be charitable, be good, be kind, be forgiving, be loving and compassionate toward others. As you go about doing these things you will have to battle your own demons. We all have them. We all think of the easy path, the shortcut and the darker temptations in life and it is that battle that you must encounter each day. So, what are you fighting for? Is it just to get to heaven? That narrow focus can make a per

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, EVANGELIST, THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: IF GOD CAME KNOCKING?

TAKE A WALK WITH GOD? God does not leave us alone~Pastor John Collins, Evangelist Can you imagine what it would be like if our Father, God Almighty, came down and walked among us?  It's spoken of Jesus walking among us, God could too.  God hasn't given up on us, but would you be able to talk to Him as He spoke to so many before?  Would you want to? From John Collins Ministries: “Oh, that You would rend the heavens! That You would come down! That the mountains might shake at Your presence-As fire burns brushwood, As fire causes water to boil-to make Your name know to Your adversaries, that the nations may tremble at Your presence! When You did awesome things for which we did not look, you came down, the mountains shook at Your presence.” Isaiah 64:1-3 (NKJV). God created mankind and has not left him alone. God has come down, given His word, directed and fought for His people and has given His Son for us. God has come down and instructed His pe

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, EVANGELIST, THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: CONFRONTATIONAL BEHAVIOR

FROM JOHN COLLINS MINISTRIES:  “Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother.” Matthew 18:15 (NKJV). “So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.” James 1:19-20 (NKJV). Wouldn’t it be lovely if we lived in a world where people actually took this to heart? The truth is that we are a bloodthirsty, angry, confrontational and combative people. The Coliseum of Rome held death matches for people and animals and the stands were filled, public hangings and burnings brought crowds time and again, and mobs form as rioting occurs while people revel in ferocious displays of aggressive behavior. Arguing and fighting is exhausting. There are so many people that have become accustomed to living their lives in continuous battles. Some people are just argumentative and

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, EVANGELIST, THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: TRUTH

Pastor John Collins, What is truth? “For I proclaim the name of the Lord: ascribe greatness to our God.   He is the Rock, His work is perfect; for all His ways are justice, a God of truth and without injustice; righteous and upright is He.” Deut. 32:3-4 (NKJV). What is truth?  Where does the truth of your soul lie? What do you claim as your truth and where does that perception stem from? Does it come from deep within you in the small still of the night when your breathing is slow and you allow the truth of your smallness to penetrate your bones? Do you consider how precious you are to the One who created you? Do you allow your perceptions of truth to be guided by the current social standards, by the way in which you are perceived by those you encounter, or by the beliefs of others? Do you consider your eternity and just what time without end means to your soul? There is an overwhelming push in our world to undo what was done by the God of us all.  There is a syste

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: DITCHING JESUS

Evangelist John Collins:  Don't lose your salvation. Jesus answered them and said, ‘My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me. If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority.” John 7:16-17 (NKJV). Christianity is going through a crisis of immense proportions. People have been waking up to the truth of the history of the church, to the paganism within the church and to the abuse of grace that has produced so much disobedience to God. Jesus was very clear in stating that you must obey the Father and not just believe, for it is those who love Him that are obedient. That being said, there are Christians everywhere who are taking their wake up call that was from God and jumping ship all together. There are Christians who have desired to start at the beginning, get to know the Torah and study the word of God to know what sin is, what obedience consists of, and what is promised in the prophecies.

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, JOHN COLLINS MINISTRIES, THOUGHT OF THE DAY: DESPAIR

Image
PASTOR JOHN COLLINS:  SOUL PAIN THAT SUCKS THE BREATH RIGHT OUT OF YOU when there is hurt in this world, we need to make an even greater effort to love more~Pastor John Collins How many of us have not felt despair asks Pastor John Collins , Evangelist of John Collins Ministries ?   Things happen in this life we live here that are sad, dark, scary, ugly and leave us feeling like we want to curl into a fetal position and just stay there.   That darkness is of Satan and it is meant for us to become separated from God who loves us.   It gives that evil being pleasure to know he can torture God’s creations.   We know pain because it’s part of this world, says Pastor John Collins in this daily devotional.   So many of us do not know how to handle the pain because society has driven God from church, family, and home.   There is an epidemic of narcotic and opioid use that is out of control.   Alcoholism destroys families and individuals.   The agony of this life is overwhelming

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, JOHN COLLINS MINISTRIES, THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: DESIRING JESUS

Opening your heart. “Open the eyes of my heart” is a popular Christian song and it holds a lesson that Pastor John Collins of John Collins Ministries teaches in a recent message.   Consider closely what it is that you ask for when you consider your faith, your heart, your sin, and your path to heaven.   It’s how we get to our real final destination that we work on here in this life, says Pastor John Collins .   Pastor John Collins writes: “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” John 14:21 (NKJV). We know the story; that Jesus suffered for us, that He died for us, that He was separated from God for us, that He was buried and that He rose again. We know that Jesus is our Savior and that the work was completed by Him as our propitiation. What can Jesus do for you now? There are many who pray for healing, for financial liberation, for love, h
